Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8 NIV)
So I choose to think whatever is
TRUE. The enemy presents so much lies everyday that if I don't warn myself, could affect my perspective about myself and other people.
NOBLE. We usually waste lots of time conceiving thoughts that re purely daydreaming. However, we have the choice of thinking of doing something that is worthy of respect and praise but not to our own gain but so we could glorify God in the fruits of our thoughts.
RIGHT. We know what is wrong from right yet we're sometimes convinced that there's nothing wrong thinking about the wrong as long as we're not doing it. Dump that idea. Whatever you think of will grow into a desire and a decision. I choose today to align my thoughts to whatever is God's standard.
PURE. Even sometimes when what we do is good, the motive is not right or pure. Why don't we recalibrate the purpose of why we do our job, our studies? Let's keep our minds also clean and with NOT EVEN A HINT of any kind of immorality.
LOVELY. Whatever promotes peace, inspiration, motivation, joy, life, excitement, I'll think about sung things :)
ADMIRABLE. This could apply with how I think about other people. I choose to think of whatever is admirable about other people rather than criticizing.
At the end of the day, I get to keep my peace if think of such. :)
